Michael Sellmeyer is a New Jersey-born, surrealist artist currently residing in West Palm Beach, Florida. His artistic journey began like many, his doodling in class led to a passion that extends far beyond the classroom. This introduction to art is relevant, however, as these same daydream and doodle qualities continue to influence his style and subject matter.

Often piggybacking on previous works, Michael creates various iterations of the same subject matter. This allows him to investigate the relationship between these symbols and their messages. In other words, he lets his mind explore so his viewers can do the same.
